The Ormonts valley constitutes of a unique hydraulic reservoir fed by numerous torrents and rivers.
Over the centuries, they operated the water wheels of mills, beaters and sawmills, while enabling the electrification of villages thanks to the construction of several hydroelectric plants and dams. Through images, models and films, discover the magic of “blue gold in Ormonts” and visit an authentic water-powered sawmill near the village of Vers-L'Eglise that is still in operation.
